FAQ: What is a TRV?

TRV (or Thermostatic Radiator Valve) is an adjustable valve connected to your radiator that allows you to change the temperature of the room.

The TRV is able to change the temperature by regulating the flow of hot water to the radiator and this is dependant on how hot or cold the room is.

TRV's will help you change the temperature in one room and if you are looking for a device that will help you regulate your entire house, you will need to use a thermostat.

TRV's also give you the option of turning down the temperature in a room you don't use, whilst also providing frost-protection (the snowflake symbol on your TRV).

If you have an issue with a broken Thermostatic Radiator Valve or you need to have one replaced, our team will assess the condition of your current radiator and will advise what type of TRV you need.
